What do I need to know before my appointment?

Trying on formalwear is different from shopping for everyday attire. It can be intimidating!

Our team is dedicated to making the process not only easy - but FUN! Remember that you can also call us anytime to talk out any worries or concerns you have.

  • Nude undergarments are the best base you can have for formal attire. A strapless bra and seamless underwear are a great start. If you plan to wear shapewear you may bring that, but note that different versions may have an effect of how the gown fits you.

  • Our inventory changes often, but we try to stock from size 0 to 24. We are happy to custom order for you should you love a gown that is not available in stock in our store.

  • 2-4 is what we recommend. Our space is limited.

  • No, like most boutiques, alteration needs vary by gown and each is priced separately. We do have seamstresses that we recommend, but you are able to use whatever seamstress of your choice.

  • Bridal: We recommend 8 month out to allow time for any special orders or alterations.

    Prom: 8-12 Weeks for Gowns

    Pageant: 3-4 Months to allow for alterations

    Tuxes: 4-6 Weeks for Prom/3-4 Months for Wedding

  • You know the children around you best. We are a family-friendly shop, but require that children have a dedicated supervisor at all times.

  • Formalwear is very detailed and sizing will vary. Often, gowns are 2-3 sizes larger than what you may normally wear in jeans or everyday clothing. Don’t get too hung up on the size. We want a gown that makes you feel amazing and sometimes have to order up to allow for a custom alterations fit.
